Farmers and eligible rural enterprises will be invited to register their interest in the REAN Security Giveaway and provide basic information about their business, location and security concerns.
REAN will publish eligibility and allocation criteria before equipment is distributed. Depending on the individual project, consideration may be given to factors such as location, rural-crime risk, previous incidents, security vulnerabilities and the potential benefit of the equipment being offered.
Registering interest will not automatically guarantee an equipment allocation.
Successful participants may also be asked to provide feedback after receiving equipment so REAN can understand how the programme has helped, identify lessons for future projects and demonstrate the community benefit created by the initiative.
This will help ensure future security projects are informed by real experience from farmers and rural businesses.
